Context
Annual medical conferences needed a system that would let organisations register attendees, submit documents, receive invoices, confirm payments, and download certificates after the event.
My role
This project blends software development, product thinking, and real-world event infrastructure. My work went beyond the website and CRM — I also handled the technical side of running the events themselves: live streams, recordings, AV equipment, room setups, and attendance control. It was an experience where the digital product connected directly with an offline event.
Solution
What was built:
- public conference website
- organisation personal account with email-based login
- attendee application creation with file attachments
- manager CRM: application review and invoice generation
- invoice upload to personal account, payment document attachment
- application and payment status tracking
- personalised certificate generation and download from the personal account
- QR codes on badges
- mobile QR scanning tool
- actual attendance tracking for the event
Additional experience — technical event production:
- AV equipment selection for live streams, working with Blackmagic
- camera and switcher configuration, multi-room setups
- recording presentations, live streaming, video editing
- multi-hall conferences, live streams of medical procedures from the operating theatre
- on-site work in Saransk, Moscow, and Vladivostok
Architecture
Stack: PHP, Yii2, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, mobile web tool for QR scanning.
Conference website + organisation accounts + CRM on a shared core; certificate generator; QR module: badge code generation and a mobile scanner for attendance control.
